Room hire St Sidwell's Centre is situated in the heart of the Historical City of Exeter. We offer a variety of rooms and facilities for hire, which can be used for groups, meetings, activities, workshops, training and events, etc. We are located within a 5 minute walk from the main bus station, 10 minutes walk from Exeter's Central Rail Station and 15 minutes drive from the M5 motorway. Click images on the right to see the rooms. Rougemont Room A large meeting/activity room for up to 40 people, measuring 10.7m X 4.8m. Fountain Room A large meeting/activity room for up to 35 people, measuring 7.0m X 7.5m Hennis Room A medium-sized meeting/activity room for up to 20 people, measuring 6.35m X 3.5m. Old Chapel A fully equipped children's play room that can be used for parent & toddler activities, crèche and other family groups/activities, measuring 8.4m X 3.7m. This room is also suitable for meetings/activities. St James Room A medium-sized meeting/activity room for up to 20 people, measuring 6.5m X 3.3m. There are up to ten laptops that can be hired and set up in this room for computer classes, please contact the Administrator if this is required. Café Space Large, versatile meeting/activity space for up to 60 people the room measures 12.7m X 5m. Equipment available You also can hire a flipchart, an OHP, laptops etc. We also do photocopying, faxing and we have a Wi Fi access. That a charge of £12 be added to all evening or weekend bookings for caretaking when needed (i.e. unless regular groups have their own key). 2. That national charities with turnover over £250K and paid training (as opposed to meetings) for voluntary or community organisations be charged at the statutory rate for each room. 3. That a fee of £6 is charged for hire of flip chart paper/stands/pens and/or ohp, a charge of £8 will be made for hire of data projector. A charge of £6 for hiring each laptop will be made. 4. That an additional £11 be added to the voluntary/community cost for hiring the Rougemont Room 5. Where groups are able to pay more than these minimum rates (e.g. have fixed budget for training) please increase charges appropriately, and also encourage new partners to budget for maximum rate possible in their funding bids. 6. Cancellations are charged as follows: 50% within 5 days, 25% within 1 month. 7. Staff will have discretion to apply appropriate discounts for regular bookings. back to top
